and growth of the college to one of the premier
institutes of India - One Man, One Dream fulfilled.

received with a thunderous applause by the SSNites.
Mr. R. Srinivasan, Chairman of SSN Institutions

the need to improve the standard of the basic and
higher education in India, in addition to developing
the field of vocational education. He stressed the
importance of research, and the necessity to build
up a knowledge base to bring the Indian education
system on a par with the international one. As a
token of our gratitude and thanksgiving, Mr. R.
Srinivasan presented mementos to our Chief Guests. A
vote of thanks by Dr. Shiv Nadar, brought this
session to its close. But the celebration was far
from over.
The activities reached a feverish pitch as the
cultural show followed. A grand effort was put in by
the students of SSN. A violin solo by the talented
Rajeev, II ECE B, a dance performance by Vaishnavi
and party, were part of the show. However, the
highlight of the cultural show was a music
performance by the famous playback singer Karthik.
He gave voice to many popular film songs, keeping
the audience enthralled. His melodic strains and
enthusiasm provided an edge-of-the-seat thrilling
experience to the listeners, who thoroughly enjoyed
the show. Thus, the event-filled evening came to a
musical conclusion. It would be fair to say that the
Scholarship Day function was a very memorable one,
not only for the scholarship awardees and their
families but to all the SSNites. |
